1. Dr. Buttram will examine your current smile!
When you first visit our orthodontist office, Dr. Buttram will become your personal orthodontist who you’ll see at each visit! You’ll meet Dr. Buttram and get to know a little bit about each other.
Dr. Buttram will perform a visual exam of your smile and we’ll take some digital x-rays, impressions and photos to gain the full picture of your teeth, gums and jaw bones.
For digital impressions, we use the advanced iTero® digital scanner to take accurate and precise digital impressions of your mouth, without the discomfort and messiness of traditional putty impressions.
Dr. Buttram will use all of this information, from your visual exam, digital x-rays and impressions, to create your personalized treatment plan!
2. You’ll choose a treatment!
At your first orthodontic appointment, we’ll help you explore your treatment options so you can choose the best one for you. Dr. Buttram will suggest a treatment option based on your needs.
The best treatment option for you will depend on your preferences and lifestyle. Dr. Buttram has the experience necessary to treat you with your preferred option.
We provide advanced Empower® self-ligating braces in metal and clear, and Invisalign® clear aligners for all ages.
3. We’ll create a payment plan that suits your needs.
We’ll talk finances too. We offer 0% interest in-house financing and outside financing with OrthoFi.
We’ll present our financial options, discuss our in-house financing plans and match you with any discount opportunities. We offer a range of treatment discounts, including a pay-in-full discount, family member discount and more.
We’ll also calculate your dental insurance benefit if you have insurance! We accept most PPO insurance plans, including TRICARE for our military families. Our team will submit your insurance claims for you so you can receive the maximum benefit.

If you choose Invisalign, Dr. Buttram will take quick digital scans of your smile, then send these scans off for your custom treatment to be designed and printed! If you choose self-ligating braces, we’ll prepare to have your braces placed by Dr. Buttram.
Finally, you’ll start braces treatment or pop your aligners in place, and watch your smile transform over the coming months!
