We’re excited to share some wonderful news with our patient family: Dr. Isaac Hinckley is joining the Buttram Orthodontics team!
For the first time in more than 30 years, our practice is welcoming a second orthodontist, and Dr. Hinckley will officially begin seeing patients in early January 2026.
From the very beginning, it was clear that Dr. Hinckley shared the values that have guided our practice for decades: thoughtful care, attention to detail, and treating every patient like family.
As Dr. Buttram puts it, “Welcoming the right doctor ensures that our patients, our team, and the legacy we’ve built together remain strong well into the future.”
We can’t wait for you to meet Dr. Hinckley at our Panama City orthodontic office, where he’ll be transforming smiles with braces and Invisalign® alongside Dr. Buttram.

A Love for Orthodontics (and People)
Dr. Hinckley truly loves what he does, and it shows in the way he approaches every smile.
A self-described perfectionist, he’s drawn to orthodontics for the precision and creativity it allows, and for the meaningful, life-changing impact it can have on patients.
“What I love most about orthodontics is being part of a patient’s journey to confidence,” Dr. Hinckley says. “Seeing how a smile can truly change someone’s life is incredibly rewarding.”
For him, orthodontics isn’t just about straight teeth. It’s about confidence, milestones, and helping patients feel like the best version of themselves.
Education & Training You Can Trust
Dr. Hinckley completed an intensive three-year postdoctoral orthodontic program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where he earned his Master of Science in Orthodontics.
He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, graduating second in his class with honors.
He’s passionate about staying current with modern orthodontic techniques and believes thoughtful planning is the foundation of every great result. His advanced training allows him to provide high-quality orthodontic care for patients throughout Panama City and the surrounding Bay County area.
Why Panama City Felt Like Home
Originally from a small town in Wyoming, Dr. Hinckley has always valued close-knit communities and genuine connections.
After living in several parts of the country with his wife, Jessica, and their three children, the Hinckley family knew they wanted a place that felt welcoming, grounded, and family-oriented.
“Of all the opportunities available to me, Panama City felt right,” he shares. “The community, the people, and the values of Buttram Orthodontics made this an easy decision.”
They’re excited to put down roots here and become part of the community they’ll be serving for years to come.
When He’s Not Creating Smiles
When he’s not at the office, Dr. Hinckley’s favorite place to be is with his family.
He and his wife, Jessica, have three young children, Harper, Zo, and Halea, and enjoy spending time outdoors together whenever they can.
Outside of work, Dr. Hinckley enjoys golfing, working out, music, sports, and outdoor activities. He’s also fluent in Spanish and looks forward to connecting with Panama City’s diverse community.

- Wyoming native, raised in Evanston just a few hours south of Jackson Hole
- Youngest of 10 siblings (and the fourth dentist in the family!)
- Comes from a farming family, with roots in Montana and Wyoming
- A lifelong sports and outdoors enthusiast, from snowboarding and hiking to fishing and golfing
- Fun (and slightly wild) fact: his love of contact sports earned him five knee surgeries, plus a wrist and chest surgery
- Loves music: listening, singing, and even playing when he gets the chance
- Has lived all over the U.S., including Hawaii, Utah, Louisiana, Arizona, San Francisco, and Oklahoma
- Family first: He spends most of his free time with his wife, Jessica, and their three kids: Harper, Zo, and Halea
- Fluent in Spanish and excited to connect with Panama City’s diverse community
